Kids have had their own section at Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest called the Fun Zone. The Fun Zone is located outside under a canopy and it is filled with an oversized castle, multiple rooms, different objects to climb on, a choo-choo train bounce house and so much more. The director of Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest says, “it’s a bounce-house party on steroids,” She continues to say, “We’re always looking for ways to make Oktoberfest fun for families, and the Fun Zone has considerably boosted the atmosphere with joy and laughter.”

Every Sunday in October is family day and the Fun Zone becomes the most popular area of Oktoberfest. Kids 12 and under get in free to the event admission for older than 12, including parents is only $10. Passes are required to use the different inflatables inside the Fun Zone but passes are only $10 for unlimited access.

Adults can also have fun on the giant inflatable slide for $3 for three rides, the connect-three basketball game is $5 per game and the mechanical bull is $5 per ride. What makes the Fun Zone even better is that it is only a few steps away from the Sports Biergarten so adults can come and go as they please or catch a glimpse of a game on one of the televisions while watching their kids have fun.

“We really pride ourselves for providing a family-friendly atmosphere,” added Marini “After all the original Oktoberfest started as a family celebration, and now it continues as a family tradition.” Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest happens every weekend from now through Saturday, November 3, 2018. All of the fun can be found at the Convention Center of Big Bear Lake.
